For the past several years I have participated in Downtown Des Moines’ Hide and Seek Ornaments. Each year 10-15 mosaic ornaments are hidden Downtown for people to find. Clues can be found on my Facebook and Instagram pages.

This bright sun was completed in collaboration with the 2022 5th Grade class at Perkins Elementary in Des Moines. The 5th Graders created clay self-portraits and tiles to add to the mosaic.

In the fall of 2015, I was part of a project to add mosaic designs to a 22 foot dinosaur sculpture at a middle school in Page, Arizona. A majority of the over 200 students we worked with were part of the Navajo Nation.

I have been sculpting pinatas for my four boys birthdays since they were babies. Here are a few examples for them and a few commission pieces.
In 2019, the Polk County Justice Center put out a request to local high schools for a mural to get into an area where young children play during a stressful time in their life. They mural was to depict diversity in Polk County. I worked with ten students and the other two art teachers from Roosevelt High School to create the mural.
